The PSN YPG Abuja chapter paid a visit to the NYSC orientation camp clinic, Kubwa, Abuja with interest of the young pharmacists currently undergoing their orientation course in the camp.
They were well received by director of the NYSC Abuja camp clinic, Mrs Buga as well as the Director of Pharmaceutical Services of NYSC clinic, Pharm Chinedu.
The entourage of top stakeholders of PSN-YPG Abuja was led by the State Cordinator Of PSN-YPG Abuja, Pharm Nelson Benjamin who made several submissions to the young pharmacists by welcoming them to the Federal Capital territory and passing valuable information with regards to Place of Primary Assignment for the Corp members with emphasis on welfare and remuneration, Locum opportunities as well as need to the Corp members to participate fully in PSN-YPG activities in Abuja to make for a vibrant Group. He also emphasized on the need for the Corp members to register for the PSN Conference “Oluyole 2018” set to hold between October 29th to November 3rd 2018 in Ibadan.
Pharm Ikwaibom Umoiyoho, the Director of BUS of the PSN-YPG Abuja chapter and the special adviser to the National Chairman of PSN-YPG elaborated on the need for young pharmacists participation in Politics as well as highlighting the functions of PSN-YPG at both the National and State Levels and what they stand to benefit from being financial members of the group.
Pharm Timothy Ojo, the director of welfare of the PSN-YPG Abuja chapter educated the Corp members on several online platforms with which young pharmacists can make good income by using other skills such as graphics designing, ghost writing, research writing etc.
Pharm Akpaka Basil, immediate past Treasurer, PSN-YPG National stressed on the need for young pharmacists to be involved in the affairs of the profession as much they can.
The State Coordinator of PSN YPG Abuja chapter, Pharm Nelson Benjamin closed by Informing the Corp members of the immense assistance they stand to receive from PSN-YPG Abuja and the readiness of the Executive Council to aid them in any capacity they may can.
